World of Concrete

The World of Concrete’s mission is to support the needs of concrete and masonry professionals, and tens of thousands of people from all over the world eagerly attend each year. In honor of the show’s 50th anniversary Jan. 22-25, 2024, in Las Vegas, attendees provided videos highlighting why they love WOC. Here’s what a few had to say:

Ashley Scrode | co-owner, Strode Concrete | Osakis, Minnesota
“We have been coming to the World of Concrete for about eight years, and it has impacted us both personally and professionally. We’ve made a lot of connections with a lot of other small business owners and other companies we can work with or learn from.

On a business level, it’s allowed us to get great pricing on tools and equipment that we need. It also has helped us understand workforce management tools … as well as how to run our business more efficiently. All of the vendors are well educated and able to offer something for everyone. On top of that, it’s always fun to go to Vegas.”

Adrian Prevost | managing director, Kraftur | Brisbane, Australia
“World of Concrete is probably the biggest toy store for grownup kids interested in concrete. But it is more than that. It’s a career-boosting opportunity for any concrete construction participant to create new connections, learn from industry experts, discover opportunities and join the conversation with international peers on some really unique solutions to industry challenges.”

Victor Rivera | safety manager, Aztec Ready Mix | El Paso, Texas
"Last year was the first year that I’ve come to the World of Concrete. We walked the event for two days, speaking to vendors and seeing new things that I hadn’t seen at the company. I learned a lot in a little bit of time. …. It’s a great experience and (I) suggest everybody come every year.”

Richard Wagner | chairman, Wire Reinforcement Institute | senior VP/COO, Insteel Industries, Mount Airy, North Carolina
“We enthusiastically exhibit at the World of Concrete. … One could not ask for a more effective and efficient way to spread the word. The interaction with other attendees, both in our booth and on the show floor, not only informs them about welded wire reinforcement and the WRI but provides us ideas for future resources. WRI has been a proud World of Concrete cosponsor for 44 years and we are honored to participate in its 50th anniversary.”
