ProVia recently expanded its roofing product lineup with the release of its metal barrel tile roofing, allowing roofing contractors to provide a steel alternative for homeowners seeking the look of Spanish clay tile.

The 26-gauge metal roofing system is galvanized on both sides and fortified with a resin-based GalvaTec coating that ProVia says protects against mold, mildew and UV rays. It is engineered to withstand 130-mph winds and has a Class 4 impact rating and Class A fire rating. An anticorrosive coating is applied to both sides of the panels for added weather protection.

ProVia’s metal barrel tiles come in four earthy colors and utilize tongue-and-groove attachments and hidden fasteners. The system has an expected product lifespan of more than 50 years, according to the company, and is backed by a limited lifetime warranty that includes unlimited transfers.
