IRE Product of the Week: Kingspan OPTIM-R E

Kingspan’s OPTIM-R E inverted roofing system was designed for projects that require low U-values or thin roof build-ups. It is ideal for where there is little space for installing new roof insulation, according to the manufacturer, and is encapsulated in a coating for increased durability and easier handling. The vacuum insulation panels are accompanied by rigid extruded polystyrene insulation infill panels that can be cut to fit around areas such as roof lights or ventilator curbs. OPTIM-R E is also compatible with green roof systems and protects waterproofing membranes. Panels are available in five sizes and five thicknesses, ranging from 600 mm x 400 mm to 1200 mm x 600 mm and 20 mm to 50 mm thick.
