National Pool Partners (NPP), the nation’s premier multi-regional pool service company, announced its acquisitions of PoolStop of Rockwall, Texas and Pacific Pools of Dallas, more than doubling its number of employees and pool service stops in the state and officially entering the Dallas-Fort Worth market.

In support of its mission to elevate the pool service industry, NPP’s acquisition of PoolStop, Pacific Pools, and other high-performing service brands has allowed it to establish career advancement paths for technicians while providing unparalleled benefits packages for all its employees.

Founded in 1986 by Frank Gorman, Pacific Pools originally opened its doors in Columbus, Ohio with 18 pool accounts. In 2005, Pacific Pools expanded into Texas and has grown to serve over 1,000 pool stops. Pacific Pools’ dedication to innovation and improving the pool service industry made the brand a terrific fit to integrate with NPP’s industry-leading family of brands. While retiring from daily operations, Gorman will join NPP’s exclusive Advisory Council to provide his decades of industry wisdom to guide key business strategies. The Advisory Council is an elite group formed to provide a channel for capturing insights from knowledgeable industry veterans and engaging in strategic dialogue to optimize NPP’s operations. NPP is the only national pool service brand with such a Council.

“NPP was founded by pool guys to enhance the industry and improve the lives of everyone within it. To do that, we’re combining data analysis and insights-driven decision making," said Hal Denbar, founding partner and regional president at NPP. “We’re honored to have Frank join our Advisory Council so that his wisdom can continue to guide strategy and decision making. Frank and Harvey have both built impressive businesses that reflect our dedication to the customer experience, making them the perfect fit for us to expand our presence into DFW.”

“The timing was right for me to exit Pacific Pools, but I was thrilled that NPP invited me to join the Advisory Council,” said Gorman. “I’ve been a part of this industry for most of my adult life and I’m looking forward to advancing the industry in a new capacity.”

PoolStop has been serving the Dallas area since being founded by Harvey Rippy in 2003. Rippy has grown PoolStop to service over 1,000 accounts thanks to a commitment to disciplined and efficient operational processes. Routinely voted “Best Pool Company” within the community, the PoolStop brand also includes pool construction and retail services. Through this acquisition, NPP is acquiring the PoolStop brand name rights and residential pool service business unit. As part of the transaction, Rippy will transition to branch manager of the Rockwall pool service location while maintaining ownership of the construction and retail business.

“In selecting a purchaser, I was not only interested in a suitor that really valued the business I created but could offer flexibility for me to continue my career within the pool industry in a different capacity,” said Rippy. “I’m proud of what PoolStop has accomplished since founding it 19 years ago and am excited to continue building on our legacy of stellar service in my new role at NPP.”
