What’s New at the International Roofing Expo

Here’s a sneak peek at four additions to the 2024 International Roofing Expo, to be held Feb. 6-8 in Las Vegas. 

1| Two keynote presentations. 

There will be keynote presentations held on the first and second days of IRE. The day-one keynote, “AI: Humanity’s New Dawn,” will be given by Zack Kass, the former head of Go-to-Market at OpenAI. Kass will share insights from his 14 years navigating the evolving AI landscape and work to demystify AI to empower businesses of all sizes.  

The second-day keynote, “Revolution or Evolution?”, will be given by Liza Hausman, vice president of industry marketing at Houzz. Hausman will share the latest research on macrotrends in consumer behavior and explore what homeowners want and expect from home improvement contractors. 

2| First sessions held in Spanish. 

Two sessions at the 2024 show will be presented in Spanish. On Wednesday, Feb. 7, Sergio Terreros, president and CEO of the National Hispanic Contractors Association, will host the session “How to Start with Commercial Projects.” The presentation will be geared toward small and medium-sized roofing companies interested in expanding from residential to commercial roofing. 

Later that day, Alan Lopez, lead of GAF’s Latinos in Roofing, will present “Latinos in Roofing.” This workshop will address how to be a business leader and how to think, act and communicate to achieve objectives in business.  

3| Innovative Product Showcase and Awards. 

This product showcase and awards initiative launched by IRE will shine a spotlight on cutting-edge solutions in the roofing and exteriors industry. There are 10 product categories—spanning roofing, siding, tools, technology and other exteriors products—and industry professionals, including IRE attendees and IRE360 subscribers, will vote in each category on products and services entered for the People's Choice award. Experts' Choice winners will be selected by IRE360 editors and industry experts. 

4| Revamped Exteriors Pavilion. 

The Exteriors Pavilion, though not entirely new, will host a range of educational sessions at the 2024 show geared toward siding, exterior trim, windows, gutters, and entry and patio door projects. The Exteriors Pavilion is located on the expo floor and is open to all attendees.
