More renovation activity and higher spending—these are two big takeaways from the 2022 U.S. Houzz and Home Study, released in May. Additionally, planned renovation spending has increased year over year for the first time since 2018, and recent homebuyers spent nearly double the national median spend.

Houzz, an all-in-one resource for homeowners working on home renovations or decorating projects, compiled this year’s report from a survey of 67,554 Houzz users, including 33,711 renovating U.S. homeowners.
