Webinar: Developing a Plan to Replace Damaged Reinforcement on a Concrete Repair Project

Date: Jul 26, 2023

Duration: 1 Hr

One detail of the concrete repair plan contractors should discuss in the pre-construction meeting with the engineer of record is how to repair reinforcement uncovered in concrete removal. The construction team should agree on several critical operational options to establish field criteria. This discussion will accelerate decisions concerning repair or replacement so that the technician can quickly assess what is necessary as the reinforcement is exposed.

Our panel of repair specialists will update you on the art of handling reinforcement exposed during the tear out.

The learning objectives of this session will focus on the "how-tos" of three key factors:

  • Identifying the cause of the rebar damage.

  • Deciding on the type of anticipated repair, i.e., replacement, supplemental reinforcement or coating.

  • Determining the degree of cleaning required for the existing rebar.

Contractors, architects and engineers who attend this webinar will be given a Certificate of Attendance for self-reporting certification purposes.
