Hayward regional sales and marketing teams elected to donate the entirety of their winnings from a recent competition (totaling $10,000) to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis.
The competition took place in October as a part of Hayward’s annual North American Sales Meeting.
During the event, participants competed in various team-building activities to win cash prizes to be designated to the charity or nonprofit of their choice.
All the winners chose to direct their winnings toward St. Jude.
Hayward employees and executives took note of the group’s decision, with the unanimity of the decision making a specific impact.
“At Hayward, we talk a lot about building better,” said Albert Miller, Hayward VP of sales. “But it’s clear that this attitude isn’t just limited to pool products; it’s our broader attitude toward building a better world. When that’s your guiding principle, even things like internal competitions can serve a bigger purpose. And I can’t think of a better way to demonstrate that than this.”
