California Pools Opens Houston Location

California Pools added its 35th independently-owned and operated U.S. location in Montgomery, Texas, a northern Houston suburb. “Houston-North homeowners want to add swimming pools and livable outdoor space to add value to their home and make the most of the harsh climate,” said R.J. Pierson, franchise owner of California Pools of North Houston. “It’s so much fun to work with homeowners who aren’t sure of all of the potential their backyard has to offer. Our designers show them all of their options, and they’re often shocked at what’s possible. There’s nothing better than seeing how happy they are with the finished product.”

Cover Care Expands Operations

Cover Care, LLC, a national automatic pool cover company specializing in the installation of automatic pool covers, continues to rapidly expand its reach throughout the US adding two new market locations in Kansas City and Poughkeepsie, N.Y. Cover Care is the only nationwide team of automatic pool cover experts that installs and services automatic pool covers in 39 markets throughout the country.  “As pool professionals grapple with labor shortages, Cover Care is the ideal outsourcing solution for pool builders that want to sell automatic pool covers but don’t have the bandwidth to do the work in-house,” said Jacob Bloss, director of operations for Cover Care.

Hayward Strengthens Position in Pool Technology With Recent Acquisitions

Hayward acquired two IoT technology businesses, SmartPower and SmartValve, as well as Water Works Technologies Group, LLC, a manufacturer of water features including water bowls and sheer waterfalls with LED lighting options. “These three businesses complement each other and further extend Hayward’s leading Smart technology solutions to increase the ambiance of the pool, spa and backyard. They are perfect examples of harnessing new technology to deliver sustainable, energy-efficient solutions to our space,” said Kevin Holleran, CEO of Hayward.
