TAMKO Building Products was recognized with top honors as a preferred employer and, for the first-ever time, as an iconic business in the annual Reader’s Choice Favorites of the Four States contest held by The Joplin Globe.

Contest winners are voted on by community members in the Four States area.

“The overwhelming support of the community continues to remind us why we’re proud of our roots in the Four States area,” said David Humphreys, TAMKO chairman and CEO. “Our dedicated friends and colleagues that we work with every day are the backbone of TAMKO’s more than 75-year success, and we’re honored to have the community’s recognition and support of TAMKO as a top place to work.”

Every year, The Joplin Globe newspaper’s community contest garners participation from community members in the Four States area, where Southwest Missouri, Southeast Kansas, Northeast Oklahoma and Northwest Arkansas connect.

Community members are invited to vote on their favorite businesses in a variety of categories that include Automotive, Financial, Food, Entertainment & Recreation, Medical, Retail, Health & Beauty and Services.

“Our employees in the Four States area and across the nation have dedicated themselves to helping make TAMKO a success, so to be named Most Iconic Business in the Community in this year’s contest is an achievement that all our employees can be proud of," Humphreys said.
