Eldon Tipping began his career as a structural designer but he has gone on to become the founder of Structural Services Inc., which is the premier consultant for concrete floors in the United States.
"I was spending all of my time doing conceptual designs and project management type stuff," he said, adding that he didn't want to spend the rest of his career doing that. "I wanted to get out in the field."
Tipping said he made some connections in the industry that inspired him to make major career changes, which led him on the path to where he is today.
"I started the company with just the idea of providing suspended slab services," he said. "And we have grown so much further beyond that narrow scope of services."
Tipping said he's confident that the next generation of leaders will continue the success that has been built into the future.
