As more industry professionals turn to online courses to advance their careers, many companies are adding more focus to the virtual options available for advancement in concrete and masonry.

Jim Rogers, a content developer with LinkedIn, said assessments are available for many online courses now being offered, which is something that he said enterprise clients like because they can enroll employees in certification courses and then test their acquired knowledge.

Rogers, who develops content videos for LinkedIn Learning, said learning certificates are issued after courses are completed.

"A lot of my construction management courses are accredited for Project Management Institute (PMI) continuing ed," Rogers said. "There's a lot of courses in the library that are PMI accredited too, so they get that certificate as well."

Rogers said there are also estimating courses and construction software courses available on LinkedIn Learning as well.
