An industry leader in the power screeds market is taking one of its leading products to the next level by introducing a zero-emission electric version of a popular power screed.
MBW, Inc. has announced the development and release of an electric version of the ScreeDemon, which it claims is among the “most innovative and ergonomically friendly wet screeds on the market.”
The product is also run on a battery, instead of the typical fuel that power screeds run on.
The company said it partnered with Milwaukee Tools to develop the product.
The machine is the first electric version of the ScreeDemon and is powered by an M18 REDLITHIUM battery, according to MBW, Inc.
Previous versions of the product had been powered by Honda GX35 engines that consume fuel.
The ScreeDemon touts a quieter run and the company said the lack of emissions makes it a suitable option for indoor work.
The company also claims the product has a 50 to 90 percent reduction in arm vibration versus competing products.
"All wet screeds tested by MBW exposed operators to excessive hand/arm vibration," the company's website stated. "The ScreeDemon's patented mount retention method enables use of low durometer isolators without loss of operator control."
