The Concrete Industry Management (CIM) Auction at World of Concrete is scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 19, at the Las Vegas Convention Center. There are more than 150 individual items in this year’s auction categories that include ready-mixed concrete-focused items, contractor-focused Items, and other industry-related items. For those looking for bucket-list adventures and once-in-a-lifetime experiences, the auction also includes great trips, game tickets, and tech products that anyone would want.

The donated items are split into two auction categories: About 100 items will be offered in the live auction conducted by Ritchie Bros. The live auction begins at 1 p.m. PST on Jan. 19; the remaining items are offered for bids in an online silent auction hosted on the Giftsmart platform. Silent Auction bidding opened on January 12 and ends on January 19 at 12:45 p.m., just prior to the start of the live auction. The Auction Committee invites you to join them in a live event for the silent auction during its last two hours of accepting bids in the West Hall, Room W103 of the Las Vegas Convention Center.

"The auction proceeds benefit the CIM National Steering Committee (NSC) and support the current CIM programs at Middle Tennessee State University, New Jersey Institute of Technology, Texas State University, California State University – Chico, South Dakota State University, and the Executive MBA program," said Ben Robuck, Chairman of the CIM Auction Committee. Registration for both portions of the CIM Auction is easy.

Registration instructions for those who will be at CIM Auction in in Las Vegas:

Step 1: Use your cell phone and text CIM2022 to 76278 to register for the silent auction. You will be directed to the website that hosts the items. You can start bidding on your favorite items immediately after registration. If you would prefer to register using your computer, visit https://CIM2022.givesmart.com.

Registering for the silent auction will also pre-register you for the on-site live auction.

Step 2: Beginning at 11 a.m., come to room W103 for the silent auction’s last hour of activity and pick up your bid book for the live auction. You will be provided with your Richie Bros. bidder number. You will use this bidder number to purchase items in the live auction.  (The silent auction’s phone app is not used for bidding on live auction items.)

The live auction begins at 1 p.m. Pacific time across the hall in room W106.

Registration instructions for those who plan to participate remotely:

Silent Auction Registration:

On your cell phone, text CIM2022 to 76278 and follow the instructions. This will give you access to the silent auction website where you are able to place bids on the items in the silent auction. This is how you will continue to bid on silent auction items throughout the event.

Live Auction Registration for online participants:

You must register through Ritchie Bros.' online port to bid in real-time on the items in the live auction. For those who are participating in the CIM Charity Auction, USA, note that administrative fees and bid deposits are waived. You are encouraged to register at least 72 hours prior to the auction to ensure your account is set up.
