Despite the challenges posed by a strained supply chain and a national labor shortage, many industry leaders remain optimistic about the future in 2022 and beyond.

“We have some issues right now, with the supply chain issues and the workforce issues, and the regular challenges of design and construction,” said Bill Palmer, an editor for WOC360 with more than three decades of experience covering all things concrete.

Palmer, who conducts interviews the Industry Influencer Video Series, said most industry influencers were “extremely positive” about what 2022 would bring.

“More positive than I would have expected,” he said.

The Industry Influencer Video Series will be published biweekly on WOC360, which is the official digital media brand for World of Concrete.

At World of Concrete 2022 in Las Vegas, Palmer will be conducting his next round of interviews.
