Complications with the global supply chain have sent out economic impacts across the world, including in the concrete equipment and supplies industry.

Ben Brown, president of construction distributor Charles E. Phipps Company, which specializes in concrete equipment, tools, and supplies, discusses the supply chain problems everyone is currently facing and how his company has been able to continue to service its customers and control prices.

"The supply chain has always been complicated," Brown said to WOC360 Editor Bill Palmer at the World of Concrete show in January. "I think what's going on now is showing everybody how small things can have such big impacts."

Brown said he was an optimist, and suggested a silver lining out of the ongoing supply-chain issues might be learned experience that helps improve the industry moving forward.
