Charting a Safer Future for Concrete Pumping

Editor Bill Palmer interviewed Christi Collins at the 2021 World of Concrete. He learned that the members American Concrete Pumping Association (ACPA) have used the last 18 months to renew their focus on jobsite safety and operator development. Collins, ACPA’s executive director, commends her board and committee members for moving forward on the operator certification program and other safety initiatives. “Safety is No. 1 for us,” she said. “...We are making great improvements to our certification and safety training process that actually are setting a huge milestone for our association and the industry and how the safety training will be administered.
