Rich Caron was promoted to VP and chief information officer of TAMKO Building Products LLC, the company announced.

Caron is responsible for all functions of information technology at TAMKO, leading IT strategic and operational planning to help achieve business goals by fostering innovation, prioritizing IT initiatives, and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future IT systems across the company.

“Since joining TAMKO, Rich has brought significant growth to our information technology group,” TAMKO Chairman and CEO David Humphreys said. “His leadership has been essential to driving IT transformation to speed up business-focused IT solutions that align with TAMKO’s strategic initiatives.”

Caron joined TAMKO in 2017, bringing more than 25 years of experience as a manufacturing IT leader. 

He began his career with Schneider Electric, a French multinational corporation, specializing in energy management and industrial automation. 

He then spent nine years with Cookson Electronics as global director of Information Technology, leading two global business units with staff in Asia, Europe and the U.S. 

For nine years he served the Isola Group, a designer and producer of materials for printed circuit boards, in various roles, including VP and CIO. 

In his most recent role, he was responsible for global IT as SVP of Information Services with Wacom Technology Corp based out of Portland, Ore.
