The road to the 2022 SPEC MIX Bricklayer 500 World Championship continued in October and early November, with the final 11 regional qualifying events taking place. The regional champion masons, supported by their tenders, will compete for the title of the “World’s Best Bricklayer” during the main event at World of Concrete 2022 in January in Las Vegas.

The SPEC MIX Bricklayer 500 puts the spotlight on the rewards and opportunities of masonry and construction. As further means to generate interest from a new generation of masons, several of the regional events include a Jr. SPEC MIX Bricklayer 500, an abbreviated version of the competition for high school students and apprentices pursuing a career in masonry.

In the competition, masons have an hour to build the largest and best 26-foot-long brick wall, with as few errors as possible. The winning team from each of the 20 regionals advances to the World Championship for a chance at more than $125,000 in cash and prizes.

Check out the slide show to see all of the winners in October and November. And in case you missed it, here are the seven regional winners advancing in September.
