The Roofing Alliance and Arizona State University’s (ASU) Del E. Webb School of Construction will host their inaugural Roofing Faculty Retreat for full-time faculty members interested in learning more about and expanding the role of roofing in their construction management programs March 6-9 at Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona.

“The Roofing Alliance Faculty Retreat is designed to educate faculty members about roofing-specific initiatives, including the different types of roof systems available, best safety practices, key elements of roof design, technical and building code issues, sustainable roof system options, career opportunities and more,” said Alison L. LaValley, CAE, Roofing Alliance Executive Director.

The faculty retreat also will include a number of ASU faculty-led workshops, under the direction of Dr. Anthony J. Lamanna, Ph.D., PE, F.ACI, F.ASCE, Programs Chair, Del E. Webb School of Construction at ASU, as well as a key workshop featuring the new nine credit-hour roofing certificate program developed at Clemson University and presented by Dr. Dhaval Gajjar, Ph. D., FMP, SFP, Assistant Professor at Clemson’s Nieri Family Department of Construction Science and Management.

The faculty retreat also has been structured to allow for a variety of social and networking opportunities with roofing industry partners to make connections, access resources, and share knowledge and information.
