Westlake Royal Roofing Solutions Westlake Royal Kleer protective film for trim and sheets
Westlake Royal’s new product aims to protect its exterior trim and sheet products throughout all stages of the construction process.

Westlake Royal Building Products recently launched a clear protective film for its Kleer PVC trim and sheet products. The new film is designed to protect Kleer products throughout the construction process, including during storage, handling, shipping, repackaging and installation.

Once the product has been successfully installed on Kleer sheets or trimboard, the film can be peeled away “without leaving any residue behind,” according to the company. The film is available for both smooth and woodgrain surfaces.

“We aim to look for ways to make jobs easier for our distributors, dealers and contractors.” said Steve Booz, vice president of marketing for Westlake Royal. “This extra layer of protection allows the product to remain clean and pristine at the jobsite.”

Westlake Royal recommends keeping any filmed products covered until ready to install and ensuring that the protective film is removed immediately after installation. Additionally, the company says Kleer products sporting the film should not be exposed to direct sunlight for extended periods of time.
